Business Registration
Sole Proprietorship Registration in Pakistan
A sole proprietorship is a business owned and run by one person, taxed under that person's own NTN. To register, the business is added to the owner's FBR profile on IRIS with its name, address and principal activity. It can then open a business bank account and register for sales tax or PRA if required. Tax Services PK sets this up end to end.

FAQs
Sole Proprietorship Registration: frequently asked questions
Is a sole proprietorship a separate legal entity?
No. The owner and the business are legally the same person, and business income is taxed in the owner's return.
When should I convert to a company?
If you need limited liability, outside investment or multiple owners, a private limited company or AOP may be better. We can advise on the switch.
Can I register more than one business under one NTN?
An individual can carry on multiple businesses, and they are declared in that individual's registration and return.
